We recently had the opportunity to do just that, when we were invited to shoot for the 2025 Freightliner Trucks calendar, featuring a stunning Freightliner Cascadia operated by the team at Walcha Carrying Co.
This wasn’t just another truck shoot. It was a celebration of Australian transport culture, regional grit, and the kind of reliability that keeps the country moving.
A Rig That Turns Heads
The Freightliner Cascadia is a beast of a machine—tough, powerful, and engineered for long-haul excellence. But the real story here was how Walcha Carrying Co. has made it their own. From the pristine condition of the truck to its custom details and polished presentation, every inch spoke to the company’s commitment to quality and professionalism.
Set against the rugged, open landscapes of the New England Tablelands, the Cascadia looked right at home. We planned the shoot to take full advantage of the farmland, rolling hills and long, empty roads that define regional freight routes.
Capturing Movement and Muscle
To do this truck justice, we focused on a combination of hero stills, rolling shots, and drone imagery. The goal was to capture both the raw power and the grace of a heavy vehicle in motion. Every angle was chosen to highlight the engineering that makes the Cascadia one of the most respected names in long-haul transport.
We also worked closely with the driver and the Walcha Carrying Co. team to time movements just right—whether it was cresting a ridge in perfect light or cruising past a classic country backdrop.
