Supporting Community Through Design: A New Website for Southbank Residents Association
At Southbank Creative, we’re passionate about creating meaningful digital experiences, especially when they support the people and places we call home. That’s why we’re proud to announce the launch of a brand new website for the Southbank Residents Association (SRA).
Founded in 1998, SRA is a volunteer run, not for profit organisation dedicated to improving the liveability of Southbank. The group plays a key role in advocating for the local community, engaging with government and fostering a sense of connection between residents. When SRA approached us to help modernise their online presence, we saw a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a cause close to our hearts.

Built for the Community
We designed and developed the new website using WordPress giving the SRA team a flexible, user friendly content management system that’s easy to update and expand. Whether it’s uploading documents, updating events or managing membership information, the team can now do it all and with no technical expertise required.

Comprehensive document library for newsletters, reports, and community submissions
Search engine optimisation (SEO) to help residents and stakeholders find SRA online
Easy-to-edit backend, empowering SRA’s volunteers to manage the site themselves
Community-focused structure showcasing events, projects, forums, and local stories
Designed for Longevity
We worked closely with the SRA committee to ensure the site meets both current and future needs. As the neighbourhood grows and evolves, so can the website. New sections, pages or tools can be easily added to match the Association’s priorities.
This project is more than just a website launch. It’s about helping one of Melbourne’s most dynamic communities tell its story, raise its voice, and stay connected.
